Privacy
What this site collects, and what it does not.
Chater Road is a publication. It sells nothing, runs no advertising, and has no accounts to sign into.
What the site collects when you read it
Nothing that identifies you. Reading an essay sets no cookies, loads no analytics, and runs no third-party scripts. Your request reaches the site through Cloudflare, which delivers and protects it, and through the server that hosts the publication. Both keep technical logs of the kind any network and web server keep, and those logs are Cloudflare’s and the host’s rather than the publication’s.
The newsletter
The newsletter is not yet running. When it starts, subscribing will ask for an email address and confirm it by a second email, so that an address cannot be added without the agreement of the person who owns it. This notice will be updated then to describe what is collected and who handles it.
Who else is involved
The publication runs on WordPress, on a managed server, with Cloudflare in front of it. The plugin that helps the site appear in search results connects to its own service. Email is sent through a separate mail provider rather than from the server itself.
What the site never holds
Chater Road carries no client information of any kind: no files, no case details, no confidential material. The publication is editorial, and the two are kept apart deliberately.
